Medicines prepared from inactivated disease products or cultures of micro-organisms (bacteria, virus, fungi) are known as Nosode. The first nosode psorinum was introduced in 1828. Nosodes constitutes less than 4% of all homeopathic medicines listed in homeopathic pharmacopoeia. The first research study in evidence of nosodes was published in 1964 in The British Homeopathic Journal.
