I visited Lochleven Castle on the 21st April 2018 for the first time, i didnt think this place existed as this small Island is very small in the Kingross area of Scotland.

To get over to the castle, you have to get a boat over which only can take 12 people at a time and they run every 45 minutes to drop off and collect people back.

14 century tower and castle ruins with links to Mary Queen of Scotland imprisoned in 1567.

Looking around was amazing this small Island on a beautiful sunny day learning more about the place.

Lochleven Castle runs between April to September and opens at 10am.  Best advice is to come and visit on a nice day day which you will enjoy yourself even better.

Once the boat collect you and takes you back to where you started, there is amazing cafe where you can get something to eat and drink.

Well recommended to visit with the family or just with friends  its a nice little day out to enjoy yourself
